At Roche we have been working on a Scientific Interoperability Hub entirely based on Semantic Technologies.
The hub consists of three semantically connected layers representing terminologies, metadata and the dataset models described by them and, last but not least, purpose-build domain ontologies. We have coupled more than 80 productive applications to our hub and start to leverage on the semantically harmonized data at scale. We are using the domain ontologies to instantiate knowledge graphs which are FAIR by design.
Therefore, the domain specific knowledge graphs can be joined without any integration effort. In the presentation, the three different layers will be explained.
The presentation will also show how we use the FAIR representation of terminologies, metadata and ontologies to build entirely interoperable Knowledge Graphs.
